Complex waves in planar spiral with three-layered dielectric

Abstract :
A system consisting of a three-layered dielectric with semi-transparent film in the form of a plane logarithmic spiral between two layers and a metallic screen on one side of system is considered. A dispersion equation for symmetric waves was obtained and computations were carried out for various system parameters and dielectric permittivities. Proper and improper slow waves were found and the influence of the system parameters on their existence was determined
