Abstract :
Based on the characteristics of water flow in single-layer groundwater with porous medium and the discipline of particle movement in it, it has implemented regional groundwater field analysis based on the secondary development platform of MapGIS. The coupling vector and raster data model is introduced in spatial analysis, so as to calculate the speed and direction of the groundwater flow. According to the calculated results, the random movement path of the particles in the groundwater is simulated. Finally, the advection and dispersion of a mass solute in the groundwater field is simulated according to the path of particles movement. This research has completed the groundwater analyze module in MapGIS and it has paved the way for the further application of MapGIS software in groundwater research.
