Abstract :
Nowadays, energy and in particular, electrical energy is fundamental in all activities, especially, in economic activities and in their development. Actually, electrical energy is the motor of all evolution and development that we witness all over the world. In fact, electrical energy is everywhere, from the smallest home electrical installation to the most complex industrial installation or in any scientific research room. Actually, in the point of view of manufacturers and users, electrical energy must be considered a good thing with great importance and, for this, it must be supplied by the former with quality and used by the latter with rationality and safety. This article describes and analyses the different kinds of losses in industrial electrical installations, and some methods will be presented that must be adopted to reduce electrical losses and to use electrical energy with more efficiency in industrial installations
