Abstract :
A way of controlling shapes of directional patterns with the aid of fragmented Fresnel zones is suggested. Directional patterns of horn and helical antennas have been measured. Amplitude distributions of field components in short, medium and long-range zones for various frequency bands have been obtained and analyzed. 3D ´intensity/angle/radius´ images for long-range and short-range zones have been derived from the experiments.
