Abstract :
This paper presents a general constructive procedure and the corresponding software implementation for the new elementary operation approach (EOA) developed recently by the authors so that a symbolic multidimensional (n-D) Roesser model or linear fractional representation (LFR) can be automatically generated. The symbolic procedure and software can deal with transfer functions with symbolic or numerical coefficients, and can generate LFRs with respect to any specified subset of variables or parameters, without losing accuracy during the construction. Examples will be presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the developed procedure and software.
