Abstract :
The software GPS receiver puts forward higher request for sensitivity and real-time processing. Due to a great quantity of complex calculations in the baseband operations, it consumes too much time to achieve real-time goal. In this paper, we propose an optimized method utilizing the DSP module as a support tool, converting most of the float calculations into integer calculations and reducing part of the multiplications with index tables. After implementing this method, we conduct experiments to compare the performance of the original software and the optimized software. The result shows that the significant performance boost (about 40%) of the optimize method.
