Abstract :
In order to solve the existent problem of complexity of classification standard and inconsistency of combining geomorphologic factors in geomorphologic classification system, a Geomor-Onto(geomorphology ontology) is built up to describe complicated geomorphy classification problem. With the formal analysis to the semanteme of geomorphic conception, this paper proposes a logic structure of Geomor-Onto and establishes a ontology model. After analyzing the type and source of geomorphic classification knowledge, we built a GCKB (Geomorphologic Classification Knowledge Base), which includes factual base, rule base and image database. In the end, a test is performed by using knowledge acquired form the GCKB and DEM dataset of China, and the results testify the value of this technique.
