Abstract
A new design for dual frequency triangular microstrip antenna using a pair of slit fed by microstrip feed line is proposed and experimentally studied. The two resonant frequencies can be generated by controlling the slit height. Return loss of -29.40 dB for the first resonant frequency 3.08 GHz and return loss of -35.18 dB for the second resonant frequency 4.02 GHz can be achieved at the slit height 12 mm. By adjusting the slit height the two operating frequencies can be tuned in the range from 1.14 to 1.52 and the two frequencies having the similar broadside radiation characteristics
