Abstract
This paper describes a methodology for the development of a Made to Measure (MtM) process of textile orthotics for obese people. The methodology is divided in three phases. The definition of needs and requirements of the targeted population, fitting tests in order to define the relevant anthropometrical dimensions, and pattern adaptation. As result, we have developed an intelligent pattern adaptation method using a set of intelligent, configurable rules. This enables to make adaptations of orthotics according to the individual body dimensions and medical needs.
