Abstract :
The self assembly mechanism of collagen monomers into nanoscale fibrils provides the opportunity to investigate their possible use as biological nanowires. Electrical test structures were fabricated using electron beam lithography (EBL), and used to electrically contact the collagen fibrils and characterize their electrical behavior.
