Abstract
Noise reduction or cancellation is important for getting a clear and useful signal. Some signals, such as, ECG (electrocardiograph) signals, are non-stationary and the noise statistical properties are complicated because of the complexity of the human body. However, details and features of the signal must be preserved very well after the denoising. In this paper, via a hybrid solution by using wavelet denoising and B-spline interpolation, we propose a new denoising technique for ECG signals whose waveform are important in practice. Experiments show the technique proposed in this paper can suppress the noise and preserve the detail features of the signal at the same time.
