Abstract :
Image fusion essentially deals with the integration of information from different images to obtain a single image containing the complementary information of the given images. This paper presents some of the methods for fusing multi focus images of a static scene. The method is illustrated with different pairs of images of the same scene, which are partly focused and partly defocused and is implemented using Java technology . Various metrics are also discussed to evaluate the quality of the fused image.
