Abstract :
Digital watermarks are used to prevent the possession and transmission of copyright intellectual property over the Internet. Such an unauthorized duplication and distribution of digital contents are achieved by inserting unique digital watermark into each of the multimedia content to be sold. When an illegal replica is found, the responsible distributor, the buyer or seller, can be traced using a watermark extraction algorithm. This is objectionable because both the seller and buyer has access to the watermarked copies and all the existing watermarking protocols does not have the provision to find out the responsible malicious distributor. This paper proposes a new efficient buyer seller watermarking protocol for secure digital transaction. Apart from fixing the conventional difficulties such as customers right problem and unbinding problems, it also provides a solution to buyers verification problem and certification authority obligation problem. Using the proposed protocol one can also find the responsible illegal distributor.
