Abstract :
Fabrication methods of an artificial scattering medium with controlled scattering coefficient are presented. In the medium, there are many voids fabricated by focused femtosecond laser pulses. The number of voids randomly fabricated in a transparent medium can result in the change of scattering coefficient. We present experimental results of the fabrication of scattering media in polymers. We also discuss another fabrication method by introducing small particles in a polymer. The experimental characterization method of scattering coefficient is presented.
