Location of Optical Disc in Retinal Image

This paper proposes a method to automatically locate the optic disc in a retinal image. Our method of finding the optic disc is based on the properties of the optic disc using simple image processing algorithms which include multilevel thresholding, Morphological process detection of object roundness and circle detection by circle fitting method. The proposed method is able to recognize the retinal images and automatically outline the optic disc. Keywords- retinal image, optic disc, thresholding, circle fitting
