  • Abstract
Industrial cluster has been developing very quickly in China. However, most of them are low-cost-based clusters that are composed of small-medium enterprises. In this paper, we present an on-demand information service platform for small-medium enterprise clusters and propose the component-based loosely-coupled service-oriented architecture for this platform. Several key techniques such as application integration in heterogenous environment, XML middleware based heterogeneous data integration, and dynamic web services for composition-based business flow integration are discussed. Professional services can be provided via this platform to promote the enterprises´ innovative ability and help business to gain competitive advantages. The platform and the related system have been applied in realistic industrial enterprises.
