Abstract :
This paper presents an examination of the applicability of catastrophe theory to crowd flow modeling. The approach taken is based on video MV analysis. The collected results indicate that catastrophe theory could be applicable to the development of a crowd flow model but further validation, using a non-video based approach, is required.
