Abstract
Traditionally the design and hardware implementation of an intelligent hearing aid (IHA) presents a lot of challenges in terms of application and implementation requirements. Together with a brief, general overview of these challenges, This work focuses on the adaptive signal enhancement for IHA´s; thus, design considerations and results obtained using a two microphone noise cancellation system are presented. Hardware implementation issues are also discussed both at the system and device/circuit levels.
