  • Abstract
This paper presents a summary of an effort to use computational modeling to link behavioral and neurophysiological levels of analysis in support of tests of hypotheses regarding a phenomenon in sensory science: visual perceptual learning. In particular, the modeling approach is applied to the unexpected finding that shifts in response bias may play a critical role in this phenomenon. The models are used to simultaneously consider response choice, response latency, and scalp-wide distribution of cortical field potentials, based on large simulated neural populations
