Abstract :
A nonlinear multiuser detection method is introduced for the asynchronous DS-CDMA communication system. Since the scheme is characterized using a cancellation scheme based on symbol-level not on chip-level, it improves the SNR of cancellation and thus the receiver´s performance. The implementation complexity of the scheme is reduced greatly as it operates without the reconstruction of interfering users´ signals, therefore it is suitable for smart antennas in the near future. Numerical and simulation results are provided to show that this scheme offers significant performance gains relative to the traditional matched filter receiver
