Abstract :
A novel grouped parallel multiuser detector is proposed and the algorithm is derived. The complexity of this detector is linear to the number of users and the performance is better than the decorrelating detector. The detection delay is smaller than the decision-feedback detector. Numerical results show that the BER of the grouped parallel multiuser detector goes to some value when the MAI power is 3 dB higher than the useful signal power, so this detector can resist the near-far effect efficiently for CDMA mobile communication
