Abstract :
Equation Based Timing (EqBT) refers to a new empirical model for characterizing the delays of library cells for logic simulation. The methodology used to develop EqBT is based on statistical experimental design. As a part of this methodology, several issues are addressed such as selecting variables, selecting data ranges, reducing data collection, and interfacing model parameter extraction to library generation tools. The resulting model provides accuracy within five percent, and typically within one percent, of SPICE
