Abstract
The basic reasons for adopting the principles of ISO 9000, and getting a certificate to say that one has done so, are the same for small, medium and large enterprises. There are of course differences in the way small and large companies apply the provisions of ISO 9001 and in the way certification bodies audit compliance. Here, the author summarizes the basic reasons and objectives of accreditation which are common to suppliers of all sizes
