Abstract :
The guarantee of quality of service (QoS) of multimedia applications is a kernel issue in the resource management of distributed multimedia computer systems. Some key issues for resource management in multimedia transmission are researched in this paper as follows: (1) the relation between QoS and resource management, (2) the algorithm for scheduling distributed multimedia tasks, (3) the paradigm for session-based distributed multimedia resource allocation
