Abstract :
this paper presents a new proposal of electronic ballast employing a boost half bridge topology. A boost converter is used to control input current power factor and a half bridge is used to drive the fluorescent lamp. The two stages were unified to simplify the design. The proposed converter presents a simple and robust topology.
