Abstract
An integrated design environment for human performance and human reliability analysis is under development at the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory. Various elements of this environment have been developed and tested in numerous applications in a wide variety of domains. The authors are currently beginning a large scale application and test of the design environment for the development and evaluation of advanced air traffic management systems. Such an integrated design environment, if applied during the development of nuclear power plant systems, could help ensure that knowledge of human performance and reliability is effectively utilized, and potential human errors have been identified and systematically controlled
