Abstract :
When electric faults take place in onsite power system of nuclear power plants, the voltage of safety related bus can be affected such as voltage sag or dip. The safety related buses in nuclear power plants have a role of supplying vital power to essential loads for instrumentation and control of plant and safety shutdown of reactor. The risk of nuclear power plants will be increased if the voltage sag of safety related bus is occurred. Therefore, it is important to analyze the effect on voltage quality of safety related bus due to electric faults in nuclear power plants. This study performs that the characteristics of safety related bus voltage by different fault locations, types of faults, and plant status is simulated and analyzed.
