Abstract :
This paper is concerned with design of robust real-time map-matcher for global navigation systems. We don´t restrict ourselves to any specific overall system but develop generally applicable guidelines for designing map-matching algorithms that are robust and realizable in real-time. Moreover, an algorithm that employs a novel method for heading observation is described and its performance is verified with simulations on real data.
