Abstract
Communication networks are integrating the power grids across the country. Real-time two-way communications is now possible that enables the consumers to actively participate in grid operations. This is laying down the concept of ¿Power Grid 2.0¿ and turning the grid into a service delivery platform. The telco are finding means to personify their highly stable network and application platforms for hosting power grid 2.0 services. The paper presents the architecture of power grid 2.0 services delivery platform on top of the IMS framework, and how the grid users finally interact and benefit from IMS applications.
