Abstract
Magnetic Faraday effect was demonstrated in cobalt-nanoparticle doped polymer fibre material fabricated using the powder-mixing method. Magneto-optical rotation of the plane of polarisation was demonstrated using a rare-earth magnet. Applications include an all-fibre optical isolator.
