Abstract :
The paper describes the development and test of an electrically steerable X-band phased array antenna designed for implementation in multilayer circuit board architecture. A novel circuit board compatible radiating element and the development of packaged surface mount transmit and receive modules is discussed. Measured performance results are shown for a 1000 element receive and a 500 element transmit array.
