Abstract :
We investigate the propagation of ultrashort pulses in 2D fibre arrays both numerically and experimentally. The nonlinearity suppresses discrete diffraction and dispersion, leading to spatiotemporal contraction, as well as pulse breaking and supercontinuum (SC) generation.
