Abstract :
The application of advanced control algorithm, which is normally time-consuming and limited, into field device is discussed. A pipeline fashion is proposed to decrease the execution time of the control algorithm within a network control system by the help of a Foundation fieldbus technology. Sampling period is shortened with the new pipeline fashion and the controller performance is improved. The advantage of the pipeline fashion is validated by analytical proofs and simulation results.
