Abstract :
This article studies several kinds of test signals which are suitable for system identification, introduces their characters separately, and makes different designs that aim at two common identification methods: correlation analysis method and least-squares method. In correlation analysis method, especially for MIMO system, making big progress upon traditional signal design method. It shortens the length of test signal after we make the improvement. In addition, for a binary inputs system, using the property of reverse repeat pseudo random binary sequence signal, we have special signal design. Finally, we got the result that generalized binary noise is a better signal than pseudo random binary sequence signal in least-squares method. Simulation results show the effectiveness
