Abstract
The concept of negative conductance which may occur at harmonic frequencies for negative conductance devices such as Gunn diodes has been theoretically investigated by employing large-signal nonlinear circuit analysis Negative conductance of such devices at harmonic frequencies provides the possibility of oscillation at harmonic frequencies. Harmonic oscillators can, therefore, be designed from a negative conductance at the fundamental frequency, followed by a positive conductance operating as a multiplier; or from a negative conductance at the harmonic supponed by a negative conductance at the fundamental frequency.
