Abstract :
This paper is aimed at characterization of satellite-to-indoor communication channel. Results from measurement campaign simulating a satellite-to-indoor link are presented here. A wideband, directive channel sounder was placed inside several buildings, receiving signal from transmitter carried by a helicopter. Measurements results in the form of elevation dependent building penetration losses for various measurement sites are presented. Results in terms of delay spread are also provided for chosen measurement sites.
