Abstract :
The block diagonal controller (BDC) was introduced and the properties of aircraft were analyzed simply. Then, the longitudinal motion equations of aircraft were transformed in block diagonal form. And the inverse-analytic solution of longitudinal motion equations was given. In order to make the aircraft land on carrier precisely, the BDC was used to design the longitudinal automatic carrier landing control system. The mathematical simulation shows that the BDC has achieved the performance specifications of the design and the robustness is also good
