Abstract
Agent technologies are integrated with Web services in order to build a flexible and adaptable multi-agent system in grid environment. Through an agent communication language and an abstract communication model, we define a generic API to communications, which supports multiple protocols, including XML protocol, the transport mechanism of Web services. The benefits of integrating Web services into grid have been recently realized in open grid services architecture (OGSA), in this paper, we describe how to translate ontologies and agent behavioral descriptions respectively into XML schemas and WSDL documents. Through this approach, an agent can be deployed and advertised as a standard Web service through registry mechanism such as UDDI, hence can be easily discovered and invoked through UDDI
