This paper has analyzed the macro-environment risk and opportunity to our saltwater pearls industry under the extension of GVC. The industry will have to face the huge market share and huge risk of the unstable international market and this situation will result in a series of conducts of the industry´ enterprises. This paper has found the advantages and disadvantages of the saltwater pearls industry by SWOT analysis and make some suggestions for the industry´ enterprises to position the development strategies and to select the fittest development strategies.
