Abstract :
This paper provides a introduction to rough sets theory and its advantage in dealing with uncertain knowledge in fault diagnosis fields. A new method of case-based reasoning based on rough sets is developed. An algorithm for weight determination based on rough sets is proposed. The relations between decision table and case base are analyzed, and case retrieval is realized. An experimental example on fault diagnosis is given to prove the validity and veracity of the method. The results show a very good accord with the experimental work.
