Abstract :
This paper introduced the basic concepts of EDDL and FDT/DTM technologies, and analyzed their individual disadvantages of system integration from the perspective of the end users and device manufacturers. And introduced the unified solution of EDDL and FDT/DTM: FDI. FDI uses all advantages of OPC UA such as platform independent, data security and the possibility to define powerful information models on the server side. Finally, proposed a FDI model based on OPC UA to solve the problem of existing EDDL and FDT technologies.
