Abstract :
This paper is a result from a series of papers about the adaptive filters in the bandwidth estimation algorithm. Here we present briefly the common structure of the adaptive filters and the latest adaptive filters used for estimation of the best-effort available bandwidth. A proposition for an improved bandwidth sampling algorithm, which is to be used with the adaptive filters and a series of simulations with different packet-switched network conditions are following.
