Abstract :
A new technique for the microwave measurement of the complex permittivity of convex-concave samples such as radomes, has been developed, and experimental errors within 1.5% for relative permittivity and 35% for the loss tangent have been obtained. Experimental errors are larger than expected and this is believed to be caused by the imperfect matching of the electromagnetic field at the air-dielectric interfaces
