Title :
Some aspects of precautions against electric shock and earth faults in electrical installations
Author_Institution :
PSA, London, UK
Abstract :
The author reviews some of the many and varied requirements relating to protection against earth faults, earth leakage and electric shock in the design of 50 Hz, 415 volts, 3 phase and 240 volts, single phase electrical installations together with the application of relevant protective devices. In particular, it distinguishes between the application of residual current devices to provide what is commonly called `personnel protection´, protection against fires and protection to comply with requirements of the IEE Wiring Regulations
