Abstract
The Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT) Program is described. The AMT Program seeks to assist the US manufacturing community in regaining some of the market share that it has lost to competing companies in Europe and the Far East. One key element to this program is the establishment of teaching and development facilities called manufacturing technology centers (MTCs), which will showcase unclassified DOE manufacturing technologies. Some of the precision flexible manufacturing system (PFMS) technology that is available through the Oak Ridge Y-12 Plant is described
