Abstract
We review our recent progress in the area of reshaping of short optical pulses in both time and frequency domain produced using superstructured fibre Bragg gratings (SSFBGs). We mainly focus our discussion on the saw-tooth pulse shape as an interesting example of the powerful combination of nonlinear optical switches and tailored optical pulses.
