  • Abstract
Aerial video observation of traffic can be evaluated automatically under certain conditions. The method developed at the University of Karlsruhe allows automatic calculation of a wide range of traffic parameters, e.g. speed distribution functions, densities or overtakings. The time-space-trajectories of vehicles can be estimated. The data set describes traffic in the most general form and can be used for determination of traffic conditions, interactions between vehicles, analysis of influences on traffic flow and other (specialized) investigations
