Abstract
The objectives of this work were to develop proper instrumentation in order to measure the anterior component of the occlusal force - ACF - transmitted through the teeth when an axial load is applied and to analyze the distribution and the dissipation of such force when propagated through interproximal contact between teeth. The results showed these goals were attained but it is now necessary to build databanks with data from patients of varying ages and to quantify both the interproximal contact force - IPF distribution and the ACF dissipation.
