Abstract :
An in-depth technique for optimized design and modeling of compact, active low power consumption downconverters is presented in this paper. The designs are unique in that they employ precision computer models developed to assist in providing optimal self oscillating mixer based designs yielding conversion gains of up to 9 dB while requiring bias powers as low as 3.6 mW. The results show good agreement between modeled and measured data
