Abstract
Berkeley Power Station has two gas cooled, Magnox fueled, nuclear reactors. Each reactor has a set of control rods, whose insertion into the graphite core can be adjusted to control the nuclear fission. Most of these rods are manually controlled, but a limited number form an automatic control system. The authors discuss the refurbishment of the temperature regulators which were 20 years old
